Riding on the last post, I'd planned to put up a few pictures taken by my guests in Mumbai.
One of them said once that all of this (India/Mumbai) is crazy, it's brilliant but crazy and for you, it's home!
However, when I saw some of the pictures the visitors snapped, it made me realize two things:
1. I don't use my camera nearly as much as I should, though I carry it like an idiot everywhere.
2. Seeing your own surroundings through the viewpoint of another person can be more revealing and eye opening than taking a walk in the neighbourhood.
I am not sure whether it's just (mostly) Indians who are (mostly) blind to their surroundings or whether it is every local that has this blind spot to their city but I have permission to upload some pics, which I will do tomorrow and to me, they really have been eye openers. Hopefully their memory will make me more sensitive to my surroundings and more in tune with things around me AND inspire/push me to use my camera more...
Though on that note, I travel by vehicle so much or if I walk, it's with a purpose that snapping pictures is not even an idea at the back of my head.
Need to be more active than passive in that regard and probably, walk some more and definitely, SNAP some more!
The pics come tomorrow!
