Does the shin have muscles?

on Wednesday, January 02, 2008

Suddenly I'm tired. I have been tired all evening for no real good reason.
Perhaps other than the fact that I started college as well...

When I finished my internship at school in August and started going to college, a couple of teachers mentioned I looked more tired. I didn't feel it then. I thought though that the look could be attributed to the extra travel.

Now perhaps I feel it too....

College was heavy today. Interesting topics...Organizational Development but the teacher is ... heavy...
Oh well...let's see how it goes.
Tomorrow should be interesting too. Marketing management - it's a new subject and will have a brand new teacher to interact with. I've heard he's a loon but perhaps not a disagreeable one...First Impressions tomorrow!
Then we have law. Good teacher. Laid back teacher...I foresee an early finish tomorrow...

Then there's 2 hours of frisbee...which makes me go both " :-D " and " x-| "

Running about in leather shoes without warming up probably explains my tiredness to an extent...played frisbee with 6th grade. I just can't seem to help myself... The lack of warm up makes me ache a fair deal, including my shins which I think I "pulled" cuz no one kicked me...
And today's title is dedicated to a brilliant question asked by a friend. If shins have no muscle, what is the skin joined to? Bone? ;)

Will need to do something about the aching tomorrow. Will carry spare shoes and a t shirt...and warm up! Perhaps...

How was today special?
Um...school started again. So yay for the kiddies! (school, lack of it and annoying drivers will probably form a large recurring element in this part of the blog...)

How was today meaningful?
Um...

How was today rewarding?
Well, just fun with the kids. I also suspect that once I sign off, I will be rewarded with instant sleep today! Hallelujah!

What made me happy today?
Company of friends...
PETA disapproved chicken (KFC Zinger!)

What made me unhappy today?
Er...nothing really...except perhaps my shoes but it wasn't their fault I decided to run in them...

What amused me today?
A friend called me this evening to be a little ... naughty...
He is doing a marketing survey research program and has to go about different retail outlets and sort of scope out the competition and devise a marketing/branding strategy for his company. He's not allowed to simply go down and take down prices etc of things in those shops...
So...he took me shopping for home furnishings!
He has a voice recorder which was on in his pocket and we were loudly (though not enough to catch attention) calling out items and prices into it. How surreptitious!
Heehee.
We didn't get caught! I also did some ham acting, asking the sales people various questions and distracting them while he went about being sly...
That was amusing.

Today's point to ponder:
I have discovered that I now have the ability to speak for about half a dozen people all by myself. My companions are now advised to tell me to shut up when they get tired of it.
Is this a new found confidence?
Me becoming more outgoing? More easy going?
Or just obnoxious?

Hmm....

I even went up to a parent today. Her kid made friends with me. He's like 8 and has good confidence in his approach to people. Only kid in school who voluntarily speaks to me in English every single time. I went and told his mum that whatever she was doing, she was doing it well and she should continue. This amused another lady she was talking to.

Like I said...confident, outgoing or obnoxious?
Hmm...
